Jitu won gold in the men's 10-meter air pistol shooting competition held at the Belmont Contest Center

Gold Coast (Australia): India's veteran shooter Jitu Rai gave India the eighth gold medal on Monday for the fifth day of the 21st Commonwealth Games in Australia's Gold Coast. Jitu won gold in the finals of men's 10-meter air pistol shooting competition held at the Belmont Contest Center, while another Indian shooter Om Mitharawal captured the bronze medal.
Jitu scored a total of 235.1 points in the final. With this, he also set a new record for this competition. Mitharawal won a bronze with 214.3 points.

The silver medal of the competition won by Australia's Carrie Bell. He achieved a total of 233.5 points.
