New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley took oath on Sunday for the new term of Rajya Sabha MP. Jaitley sworn in the chamber of Rajya Sabha chairman Venkaiah Naidu in Parliament. Apart from Arun Jaitley, BJP's Ananth Kumar, Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad and several other senior leaders also took oath.
Jaitley was appointed the leader of the House on April 2 but he could not take oath due to poor health. He was elected Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh. Jaitley, who was suffering from kidney related illnesses, was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on April 6.
Significantly, Jaitley, 65, was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Friday. He was dialysis yesterday after two days of investigation. They have been discharged from the hospital with the advice of staying at home with the rule of abstinence.
