Washington (Pat) The US has advised the Taliban to join the election process in Afghanistan. He also told the Taliban to leave safe foreign haven and return to Afghanistan. Along with this, the announcement of the Taliban's new attack has been called non-essential.

US Secretary of State John Sullivan said on Thursday that the Taliban should turn their bullet and bombs into ballot. They should contest elections and vote for power. He said that the Taliban leaders should return from foreign refugee and work constructively for the future of Afghanistan.

Violence will not bring peace and security in Afghanistan. It is noteworthy that a day before the Taliban had announced a new attack in Afghanistan. Sullivan said that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has given the historic invitation to the Taliban to join the peace process. There is no need for a new attack round.

Yet the Taliban announced another violent campaign to target the democratically elected and internationally recognized Afghan government and the Afghan people. He said that we support the Afghan security forces fighting against the Taliban and terrorist organizations that destroy the Afghan society.

Sullivan praised Afghan citizens. He said that despite the violence and continuous bloodshed, he is following family, studying universities, building business, preparing elections and strengthening the community.
