Earth Days Getting Longer Due To Moon

Chanda Mama is going away from the earth, so are the long days

Earth Days Getting Longer Due To Moon
Days on Earth are getting longer as the moon slowly moves farther away from us, new research shows.

Washington
Due to the Moon's departure from Earth, our planet is getting longer. It has been found in one study that on Earth 1.4 billion years ago, there was only 18 hours a day. This study, published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, restores the deep history of our planet's relationship with the Moon.

It was found that 1.4 billion years ago, the Moon was much closer to the Earth and changed its way around Earth's Earth. In the US, Wisconsin-Madison University professor Stephen Meyers said that as the moon is moving away, the earth is behaving like a spinning figure skater, which reduces its speed during spreading its arms.

Earth's motion in the universe is influenced by other planets that put emphasis on it, such as other planets and moons. Scientists have observed this motion of the Earth over a period of millions of years, and by this they can detect the distance between Earth and the Moon and the hours of the day.
