Trump hosted Japanese PM 5 days before Kim Sung Summit
Washington
Less than a week before the summit with the North Korean leader, Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met US President Donald Trump on Thursday. Before joining Canada for Trump and Abe G-7 Summit Summit, a joint press conference will be held in White House. Since the talk of Trump-Kim Summit is taking place, Japan has consistently emphasized that America does not bend in front of the nuclear weapons-rich North Korean government.
Abe is getting a second time from Trump in less than two months. He wants to make sure that the US president understand his point. Prior to leaving Tokyo, Japan's Prime Minister said that he hopes that closer coordination and agreement will be made with Trump on North Korea issue during the visit to America. Abe had earlier met Trump in Florence in April for the last time.
In the last meeting, Trump had promised Abe that he would raise the two Japanese politically serious issues of kidnapping in front of Pyongyang. In fact, in the 1970s-1980s, North Korea kidnapped two Japanese nationals. However, this issue will hardly be prominent for the businessman's trump from the businessman.
