Both also exchange views on areas of regional and multilateral cooperation in the delegation level talks. In a joint statement after the talks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the emphasis of the two sides was with regard to how Sweden could help him in the development journey of India.

Modi said, 'Sweden has been a supporter since the beginning of' Make in India 'initiative. Prime Minister Lowfan had partnered with Big Business Delegation in our Make in India program in 2016. He said that innovations, investments, start-ups, manufacturing etc. are the main aspects of cooperation between India and Sweden.

Modi said, "We are also giving importance to renewable energy, urban transport and waste management in areas related to improving the lives of people in India." Modi said that India and Sweden also strengthen the defense and security cooperation But have agreed.

Sweden has long been a partner in the defense sector for India. There is also a lot of opportunities in this area to increase bilateral cooperation in future in defense production. Modi said, "We have decided to increase mutual cooperation in the security, especially cyber security." Modi also said that India and Sweden will maintain their close cooperation on the international stage as well.

Sweden's Prime Minister Lowfen described India as a "global power" on this occasion and said that the 'pair is very good' between the two countries. He said that the activation of cooperation in the field of green technology and smart cities has increased.

Loofwein said that India and Sweden have agreed to work on the Security Agreement. Earlier, Modi also met Naresh Gustaf and discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in different areas.

Modi arrived on a visit to Sweden on Tuesday. This is the first bilateral visit of an Indian Prime Minister in 30 years in this country of Northern Europe. Swedish Prime Minister Lowfen had received Modi at the airport. Both leaders went to the hotel with the same vehicle. Modi will also hold meetings with four other countries of northern Europe (Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland).
