New York, Reuters US and North Korea negotiated the nuclear issue before US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to meet the June 12 summit in Singapore. Kim Yong Chol, a North Korean high official, met with US Secretary of State Mike Popeo. During this time discussions were discussed about the disposal of nuclear weapons and meeting Trump and Kim. Earlier, Popeo and Chol had also talked on Wednesday.

America is demanding shutdown of nuclear weapons program from North Korea. There has been reports that North Korea is preparing for launching a nuclear missile to reach America. While North Korea has been saying for a long time that nuclear weapons are essential for security. Due to the dispute between the two countries on this issue, Trump has said that the summit will be canceled. After this, diplomatic efforts again started on the summit.

A senior US State Department official said that North Korea must clarify the stand with what we want. Regarding the proposed Singapore summit, he said that the Trump can ever decide whether to join or not. China on Thursday supported the growing goodwill between the United States and North Korea.

Russia's Foreign Minister met Kim


Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with Kim Jong, the North Korean leader in Pyongyang on Thursday. He greeted Kim on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin and invited him to come to Moscow. Russia endorsed the agreement between the two Koreas for nuclear disarmament in the Korean subcontinent.
