China Out, India And 25 Others To Participate In Rim Of Pacific Exercise

26 countries including India will be included in world's largest marine parade

A total of 26 countries, including India, will participate in the RIM Off-Pacific (RIMPAC) military exercise that takes place from June 27 to August 2 near the US airfield and South California. Pentagon has announced the world's largest marine military exercise on Thursday. There will be 47 ships, five submarines, 18 national army forces, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 soldiers in this year's Rimpeck exercise organized once in two years.

Before the announcement of the practice, the US has not sent an invitation to China for RIMPACK-2011. This move has been described by China as unfortunate. Brazil, Israel, Sri Lanka and Vietnam are participating in RIMPAC for the first time, according to a release issued by the US Third Flit Public Affairs.

This year's theme is competent, friendly, participant. Practice in Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, South Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Tonga and UK. The Rimpack exercise began in 1971.
