India is very important inspiration: UN chief

Describing India as a very important inspiration for the international community, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guteras thanked India for participation in the world body and a strong multilateral commitment. He said that this form of India has been seen through the activities of global agenda and important funds.
On the first anniversary of the India-United Nations Development Partnership fund, Gutarez said, "India has played an important role in shaping sustainable development goals. Before shaping these goals, India's own developmental efforts and vision have shown such similar priorities and aspirations. India is a very important inspiration for all of us.
United Nations General Secretary can visit India this year. While praising India for leadership and solidarity, he said that he was excited to increase the partnership with India on the fund. In a program here yesterday, he said, "I will have the opportunity to be in Delhi to congratulate the Indian government on this very important initiative." Many UN envoys and diplomats joined the program
